An Attitude of Gratitude
It's time to get on your feet, ladies, and give God
a standing ovation with your life! It's time to get
out of the whining, greedy, dissatisfied way of doing
life - and to set your hearts by the compass of gratitude!
For Christians, Thanksgiving should not be a once
a year holiday ... it should be a glorious lifestyle!!
Thanksgiving should be our absolute priority every
day of every month of every year.
You see, Thanksgiving is more than just turkey and
stuffing, a parade and a football game, a cornocopia
and weight gain. Thanksgiving is a choice to have
an attitude of gratitude that extends beyond one Thursday
a year.
We should wake up in the morning with a song in our
hearts and a list of blessings for which we are grateful!
"Blessed be the Lord Who daily loads us with
benefits!" (Psalm 68:19) It's time to forget
about what we don't have ... and to be grateful for
what we do have!
Many people go through life thinking that their "cup
is half empty." They are always thinking about
what they don't have ... they dwell on what they lack
and look at life with a negative perspective.
Then, there are those who go through life believing
that their "cup is half full." These people
are optimists: they are grateful for what they have
and are filled with hope and expectation. They focus
on their benefits from the Father.
I am a different type of person altogether. I am
like David, the Psalmist, who strongly declares, "My
cup runs over!" My cup is not half empty ...
it is way beyond half full ... My cup runs over and
over and over!! I chose to celebrate Thanksgiving
every day of my life!
"On your feet, now ñ Applaud God!
Bring a gift of laughter.
Sing yourselves into His presence.
Enter with the password: 'Thank You!'
Make yourselves at home, talking praise.
Thank Him, Worship Him!" (Psalm 100: 1, 2 &
4)
